Let's say all you want to do is hear your favorite album on your Computer.
You don't need a 1,000 MB Of memory and a quad core with a 24Bit Sound Card plus a GeForce 7600Gs on your system, all you want is a simple OS that is cost effective and does the Same thing Vista does, Input output.
XP is the solution to your problem, If you're a gamer, Vista is not for you, it requires a Good Graphics card to run Vista, Xp Does not.
Perhaps 2Mb on board memory is sufficient to run Xp and to run games you need a Good Videocard but to run Games in Vista you need a Great Videocard, perhaps a Geforce 8 or above to get the same FPS.
Unfortunately, the day will come when we will all be forced to install vista...
