Windows Vista Update

True Story...

...For the last few years, my wife and I have been running Windows XP. We both love XP and have had very few problems with it, so we saw no need to upgrade to Vista. That all changed a couple days ago when I went to boot up my wife's laptop for her and was met with the black screen of death!

I noticed a dried liquid patch on the housing near the keyboard. Now both my wife and I are very careful with our laptops and never have any kind of drinks near them as a result of a friend of hers spilling a little bit of water on my laptop about six years ago. I guess you could say that we learned a valuable lesson back then. Or so we thought...

So, I smelled the patch and much to my dismay, it smelled like urine!!! We have a 4 month old puppy and a 1 year old kitty in our home as well as 3 children. We knew our children would never pee on the laptops, so that left kitty or puppy.

Our kitty has not been up on the table in about two months as she is pregnant and due very soon, so that left the puppy whom I had seen a few days before on the table and thought nothing of it.

My best guess is that while my wife and I were out for our weekly date night, the puppy jumped up on the chair and then the table and got scared. The little gremlin faced beast (Shitz-Tsu / Pug Mix) is one of the most adorable puppies I have ever seen, but has lost some of her charm with this incident.


So besides writing this in hopes of winning a copy of Vista, I am also putting up our puppy for adoption. (just kidding)

I was able to locate a laptop on a classifieds site for cheap, and it blows away my wife older laptop. She is extremely happy with it. I came with Vista Home Premium Edition. After tinkering around with her laptop, I now dread using my own! I am so jealous of my wife, lol.

That being said, I would be forever grateful if I were to win this software. For those of you who are reading this and think "yeah right" I can send you the table cloth that is in a bag in the garbage that still has a nice small urine stain and smell to it. :)
