What you paid for that Acer did not include the distribution media for the OS. They're not having to provide the media and related material allows them to sell the computer to you for less. Whining about not getting something you didn't pay for in the first place is silly. If you want the full distribution - then you'll have to pay Acer the additional cost for them to provide it.

Otherwise you're better off just making your own restorable copy of your "as it is now" hard drive which would be a whole lot faster to restore than starting from scratch with the initial OS distribution disks anyway.
