Windows Vista Update

I HATE Vista

IMO, They made all these changes for the sake of change and making money. It's end of March 08 and some programs I use all the time are just now coming out with Vista versions. One of them in particular, won't work at all. On top of that, I dislike most of the changes in Word 07. The menu is not user friendly or intuitive. Also the security features that protect us from ourselves are ridiculous at best. The very worst part is IE7 hangs us and restarts constantly. After the last update, I can't use flash no matter what I do. I have switched to Firefox out of pure necessity.
Does ANYONE have and answers or fixes? Believe me, I have done ALL the steps they say and nothing works.
