I got my Microsoft Surface RT tablet today
This was a fun day.
Around 10am, I headed out to the Glendale Galleria where Microsoft said there would be a pop up store.
It was cool, I didn’t even have to ask for directions and I found it within 3 minutes of entering the mall.
The popup stores are VERY well done. I was scared they would look like cheesy Sprint or Verizon stores in the middle of the malls but these were pretty upscale with wood and glass and gloss.
Very well done.
There was a line of almost 30 people there (and growing) and one of the sales people there told me they had been open since 8:30am because of demand.
Anyway, after chatting with the salespeople, a Microsoft PR manager was kind enough to get me out of the line, give me a tour of the kiosk and let me grab my tablet quickly.
Shout out to Microsoft PR for the pleasant experience.
The sales people were extremely pumped up and knowledgeable and seemed ready to show off the device as well.
They were coming down the line letting people hold, touch and use the devices.
Unfortunately, there was a technical delay with their (POS) Point Of Sale system so there was a slight delay but the line wasn’t that long and they seemed to have enough devices for everyone.
Here it is, my Surface RT 32GB with the type cover.
I’ll talk first impressions in a sec and do a full review this weekend.
Here are more photos from my time at the Glendale Galleria. Shouts out to Levi and Douglas for all their help!
Once again, you can order your Microsoft Surface tablet here.
