Samsung and Nokia planning major ad blitz for Windows Phone 7.5
Nokia and Samsung are both planning to spend millions of dollars on Windows Phone 7.5 marketing campaigns this Christmas.
Microsoft is reportedly donating $44 million to Nokia and Samsung’s advertising campaigns, ahead of device launches in the coming weeks.
Nokia will receive around $31 million of funding to promote their new Windows Phone 7.5 devices while Samsung is expected to receive $12.5 million.
Microsoft’s new global advertising campaign will feature a focus on Microsoft’s family of products.
Microsoft will show off how Windows Phones can interact with Kinect games and demonstrate Office, Windows and Windows Phone usage across a variety of devices.
The first signs of Microsoft’s Windows Phone advertising campaign are expected to materialize on Sunday during the pre-game of Sunday Night Football on NBC in the United States.
