Just received an interesting tweet from the BuildWindows twitter account.

It says:

Folks asking about getting pre-release bits...we promise it will be easy and not a secret.

This is good news for a couple of reasons.

First, it means that Microsoft have heard the screaming demand for beta/prerelease versions of Windows 8. They know we want it.

Second, they seem to be giving some thought to the most efficient distribution mechanism for it.
